I purchased this gun to use in class for students to qualify with. I wanted to get a pistol that had the feel and weight of a bigger caliber handgun. So with that said, let's talk about the good. Sig has done a great job with making this weapon feel nice and solid. Really, that is all that Sig has accomplished. They produced a nice replica pistol.
This is the worst performing 22lr semi automatic that I have ever handled. It has horrible and frequent fail to ejects, fail to feeds and just about every other malfunction you can imagine. I have tried all kinds of ammo with it and it still malfunctions. This is a real let down from a manufacturer as quality as Sig Sauer. I don't know what they were thinking or why they can't seem to fix this handgun. I have read several other reviews about this model and about 8 out of 10 are negative.
So I'm not going to waste a lot of your time reviewing this gun. I'm just going to sum it up with 2 words STAY AWAY. If your looking for a quality 22lr semi automatic look for a good used Smith and Wesson model 422. I have 2 of those that I use for class. 1000's of rounds through them and they perform flawlessly.
